COFFEE COCKTAIL.

Use a mixing glass.

I spoonful of pulverized sugar.

i wine glass of port wine. Half fill the glass with fine ice, shake well, strain into a fancy stem glass, grate a little nutmeg on top, and serve. The name of this drink is somewhat misleading, and is derived from the fact that if the drink is properly prepared it resembles Coffee.

SAUTERNE COBBLER.

Use a mixing glass. J spoonful of sugar dissolved in a little seltzer.

i or 2 slices of pineapple.

i or 2 slices of orange.

Fill the glass with fine ice and the balance with sauterne, spoon well, decorate with fruit in season, and serve with straws. A winner in extreme warm weather, as the percentage of alcohol is so small that it will not agitate the heart's actions and stimulate the circulation of the blood.
