L'Amour Pousse. Another Way.

Take a spiral wine or large liqueur glass and fill one-third of the glasswith maraschino; place carefully in it the yolk of an egg, and surround the same with vanilla syrup, being careful not to mix the ingredients, then fill up with brandy. This is a delicious French drink. The amateur can accomplish this delicate drink hy pouring the ingredients over the back of the howl of a teaspoon. Lemon-Squash. {See also page 130.) Into a large tumbler put the juice of one lemon, a tablespoonful of icing sugar, and a little water and ice; shake, and fill with soda- water. Insert two straws. Maiden's Blush. Put into a small tumbler half a wineglass of sherry, a quarter of a wineglass of strawberry syrup, and the juice of a quarter of a lemon; fill with shaved ice, shake, add a dash of rasp berry syrup, decorate, and insert straws. Morning Call. Put into a small tumbler the yolk of one egg, a tablespoonful of icing sugar, one-third of a wineglass of Santa Cruz or white rum, and two-thirds of a wineglass of brandy; fill with shaved ice, shake well, strain, and dust with cinnamon and nutmeg.
