Glasgow. Put into a tumbler one tablespoonful of icing sugar, the juice of one lemon, and one wineglass of Jamaica rum; fill the tumbler with shaved ice, shake well, and strain. Gothic. Put into a large tumbler one wineglass of Catawba, one wineglass of claret, the juice and thin rind of one orange, and a tablespoonful of icing sugar; fill up the tumbler three parts with shaved ice, shake well, and strain. Add one glass of champagne whilst stirring. Grassot. Put into a tumbler one wineglass of brandy, a teaspoonful of curafoa, a squeeze of lemon, two teaspoonfuls of icing sugar, one teaspoonful of syrup of strawberries, one wineglass of water, and the thin rind of a lemon; fill up the tumbler with shaved ice, shake well, and garnish with slices of apricots. Imperial. Put into a large tumbler one wineglass of claret, a tablespoonful of icing sugar, and half a liqueur-glass of maraschino; fill the tumbler half fqll with shaved ice, and shake well, and strain; then ad(J a split bqttle of soda-water, a dust of nutmeg, and a slice qf cucumber.
