Like Punches,these can be served hot or cold. A variety ofbaseliquorscan beused.

HOT APPLEJACK SLING Halffill a tumbler with boil ing water and add 2 ds Gomme. Then stir in i Sherry glass of Calvados. Squeeze the rind of a lemon into it and garnish with nutmeg STRAITS SLING Put plenty of ice into the shaker and add: I Sherry glass ofGin i measure Benedictine I measure Cherry Brandy

2 ds Orange Bitters 2 ds Angostura Juice of^lemon

Shake well and strain into a tumbler and top up with chilled soda water SINGAPORE SLING J measure Dry Gin jmeasure lemon juice J measure Cherry Heering Brandy Stir in ice and serve in a 6 oz. goblet after adding some soda water
